Capt. Chase Masters poling a flats skiff on shallow backcountry water in Islamorada

Meet Capt. Chase Masters

Based in Islamorada, Florida, Capt. Chase Masters brings his passion for light tackle and fly fishing to the heart of the Florida Keys. Originally from Lakeland, Chase moved south in the early 2020s to chase his dream of guiding on some of the best backcountry waters in the world.

From bonefish tailing on the flats to snook, redfish, tarpon, and permit deep in the mangroves, Chase is all about putting anglers on fish and having a good time doing it. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned fly angler, he’ll make sure your day on the water is laid-back, fun, and full of action.

Come experience what makes Islamorada the Sportfishing Capital of the World  and see why it’s always worth The Chase.

The Skiff - Floyd 10 wt.

When you step aboard Capt. Chase’s Floyd 10 WT, you’re fishing from one of the finest skiffs built for the Florida Keys. Designed with the perfect balance of stealth, stability, and comfort, the 1 0WT allows us to quietly glide across shallow flats and get close to wary bonefish, permit, snook, and tarpon.

The hull delivers a smooth, dry ride while maintaining a rock-solid platform for sight fishing on fly or light tackle. Whether we’re poling skinny water for tailing fish or slipping into deeper mangrove creeks, the 10 WT handles it all with ease — making it the ideal skiff for chasing the best bite Islamorada has to offer.
